Popular Internet Marketing Forums

I have taken a long hiatus from the blog but needless to say I have been busy. I’m going to kick things off with forum marketing, a technique that is often overlooked but it can be a great tool for traffic and sales. This post shows you how to get traffic from popular Internet Marketing forums. In this post, I’m using the example of popular Internet Marketing Forums but you can use this technique with any kind of forums within your niche. Check out Big Boards to find relevant popular forums within your niche.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Find Popular Forums: For the Internet Marketing niche, I have done the hard work for you and here’s the list of popular forums.

To find forums within your niche, use good old Google and type in your keyword plus forum. For example, a search for forex forum would return the relevant forums in the forex niche. Also check out Big Boards to find relevant popular forums within your niche but do note that they do not list smaller forums which can be really active and potentially a gold mine.

  2. Register: Duh, yes almost all forums require you to register. Creating a separate email address for the forum registrations would be advisable.
  3. Create A Signature: Most forums allow you to have a signature for your posts. This is where you put a link to your site or the affiliate site you are promoting. Here’s how you create a forum signature. Do not forget to add your link.
  4. Forum Postings : I encourage you to post at least 20 posts per week with your signature link at the high traffic forums. Do not be a moron and post stupid promotional postings. This may result in you getting kicked out or banned from the forum and everyone will hate you for wasting their time. Instead, ask questions and answer questions. Be helpful, engage others in the community and participate in making the forum better. In the long run, you’ll earn respect and not just traffic. i recommend setting aside a daily block of time to interact in forums.

That’s it. If you have additional tips on forum marketing or any questions, then please do leave a comment.
