Drive Traffic With Link Exchanges
Rob Benwell recommends LinkMetro as the link exchange site of choice but sadly that’s been closed to new members and it has received much flak from the community. Some good alternative link exchanges can be found within this discussion at DigitalPoint. However, use link exchanges with caution. On the other hand, link directories are relatively safer as it is much more controlled by the owners of the directories.
How Link Exchange & Directories Works?
A link exchange has many members wanting to exchange links and it makes it really easy to exchange links. Normally, you just find a site you want to link to and place some code they give you on your blog or website. Thereafter, the other site is notified and asked to link back.
A similar strategy is to use market or industry link directories where you can get listed if you provide a link back to them. Brad Callen has an excellent software for directory submissions.
As with everything else, use link exchanges and directory submissions with caution and moderation to drive traffic. Also do check out Rob Benwell’s Blogging To The Bank 3.0 which has solid content on driving and monetizing blogs.
